Comment in question 07-07-2008 13:02 Let's compare Aussie plans with AT&T... (All using 8Gig phone) AT&T: $69.99 a month ... NO TEXT, either pay 20c per message ABOVE the $69.99 you are already paying OR add $5 a month for the minimum of 200 messages. So now you have $75 a month for 2 years, plus $199 up front. What do we end up at? $1,999US Optus cheapest plan: $19 a month + $21 phone payment (100Meg data, $50 other usage) $960AU, hmmm, 1 Grand cheaper... Telstra? $279 up front, $30 a month: $999, very much on par with Optus, but NO word on how much, if any data is included. For those of you wanting gigs of data per month ON YOUR MOBILE... what are you actually planning on doing with it? Personally, 100Mb sounds ok for me, as I'd be using it for GPS map data (I assume that comes over the air, if it's built in, even better), and email without opening attachments for the most part. As such, so far, Optus looks like the best bet... IP: 121.223.228.244 Guest |
