White - purely because as a collector, the earlier gens are only in white, and therefore to have the entire collection in the same colour, I will be choosing white. I was actually very happy when Jobs announced that it would be in white. Yes, it does look shit, but oh well.

I'll be getting the black, but I want to get a decent case for it asap. As a grl I don't always have pockets and I am SO not putting it in my handbag unprotected! (I think there may be ROUSs in there). The white would prolly be easier to find in a dark handbag but I'm just not keen on the look. Wish there were more colour choices!

I dont think finger prints on the back of a phone are a huge worry. I'd prefer it if it wasnt a glossy black, a matte or rubbery finish would have been nice.

from what i hear the black picks up fingerprints at an impressive rate, but i've gotta say i still prefer the black, much sleeker. the white reminds me too much of the painful 1st gen ipods...

Girlish? What on Earth?
I love the white colour, all the iPods I have ever owned have been white. It's clean, it's pure, it sits in tone with what Apple tries to convey. White is simple.
However... For this particular iPhone release, I will be choosin black...
If the ENTIRE iPhone where White, I would be buying that one, indefinately... However. Seeing as the front is black, and only the back is white, it looks a little mismathed... The opposite of clean and beautiful... So... Black - On grounds of overall conformity...
