I spoke to a lady at Optus Penrith today, she told me there is no point lining up on friday unless you have pre ordered! I also spoke with apple today and they say they dont know whether the apple store in sudney is sellin the iphone! BULLSHIT!! Its stupid that they have such little stock of a massive product, Apple just like to play mind games with people! :(

I've spoken with the people from Optus World at Marion who advised me to get in early (around 7am) but that there would be a priority queue for those who had pre-paid. I'm gearing up for an interesting Friday morning. BUT with the information provided on this site, I'm somewhat anxious. 50 iPhones for the whole of Adelaide? Are you kidding me???

Called 2 Optus World stores (Adelaide) yesterday and they have both confirmed that they will be opening at 7AM for pre registered Existing customers and the people that have paid the 100$ pre pay. They are for certain that all stores in Adelaide will be open at 7AM but only one said that they THINK the Marion store will be open at 12AM but only for Existing iPhone Pre Paid customers. But not confirmed yet...

At this rate I think I'll just wait...

Hopefully 3 will eventually get the iPhone, with a decent data package deal and then I won't have to switch providers...

As for those having a stress about stock levels and carrying on like kids, it's called marketing, the less units in the country, the more hype it builds, the more effort people start putting into getting one, just so they can have what others don't...

Nintendo did it with the Wii, Sony with the PS3, and MS with the Xbox360.....

The information provided by both Vodafone and Telstra is satisfactory, in accordance with the fineprint of Consumer Watchdog.

Tesltra will announce on friday morning, whereas Vodafone, I do believe, plan to reveal all on this thursday. Both leaving their run a bit late, but nonetheless, better than never.

Stop hyperventilating, and just let it happen.

Peace.

Whats with these low stock numbers...this is stupid. How can something so huge be planned so badly and how can they possibly get away with only offering so little stock.

I rang Vodafone 2 days ago to ask where their plans are. They told me they had no info. I cancelled with them and went to optus...Fuck vodafone you tossers. I had to pay out my contract of $330 but fuck who cares...going by their NZ plans the prices are shit anyway.

Correct me if i am wrong but i read somewhere (possibly smh.com) That the mobile ombudsman made a legal requirement to carriers that they must release plans for the iphone at least 7 days before the release...?

This means both telstra and vodafone have breached these terms or will they not be offering it until after the official release?

personally i think it is unfair to all and it seems like both telstra and vodafone have something to hide by not releasing their plans.

I briefly spoke to a guy who works in the Optus Store at Rhodes shopping centre when I was there today, he told me that they'd be opening at 7am on Friday, he couldn't tell me how many phones they'd have though.
